This was our favourite dinner in Rome. We were lucky enough to secure a spot at the bar, it was so packed the street was full of locals drinking and being served food on parked mopeds - such a sight! We had some delicious local wine, followed by a caprese salad and italian ham. My main of pesto fettucini with zucchini flowers was fantastic. I would definitely go back if we\re in Rome again.

This was our third visit to il Sorpasso and once again they delivered. Tried the tongue with Parsley sauce, Mortadella with Balsamic glaze, Strozzapretti ( Burst cherry tomato sauce with fresh ricotta) and Basil Orecchetti with a four meat sauce, all of which are excellent. If we ever return, I would order a bottle of wine, rather than by the glass. The pour on the by the glass is very small. Somewhat disorganized service. Was fairly empty when we arrived, but filled up with locals early.
