Really great food hall sold lots of basics and luxury products at reasonable prices!! Place to go for a nice bottle of wine or premium spirts!!

The cafeteria style restaurant is located on the top floor of this well-known department store at Alexanderplatz – only a 12 minute walk from Museum Mile (Museumsinsel). There is one counter where entrees are served, as well as several large salad-bar style tables that offer both hot and cold food. The variety of choices is dazzling. Grilled white asparagus, several eggplant (aubergine) options along with a host of vegetables and salads, a variety of shrimp and fish dishes, multiple chicken and pork dishes, and several potato and pasta varieties were some of the options when I was last there. There must have been 60 foods on display, and the menu changes with regularity. It is difficult to pass the dessert area with its offerings of pastries. Beverages include wine, beer, soft drinks, juices, coffee and an array of teas. Price is based on the weight. Upon completion of the meal, it is customary to bring the tray to the conveyor belt. This restaurant is a terrific alternative to the over-priced restaurants in and around Meuseumsinsel.
