Walking up to the place looked odd - we weren\t sure it was the place we read about. Walking scared us a little, as the decorations were very old school Bavarian pub like. We considered leaving, but were up for an adventure. Bruno came and welcomed us, and over a chat started telling us what creations he had for the menu tonight. We were hesitant still, but they sounded intriguing - so we ordered a share entrée of seafood and salad to share. It was impressive, especially for Berlin, where we are hesitant at the best of times with fish and seafood. We proceeded to order our mains, stuffed octopus, Guinea fowl, and dear ragout pasta. All were excellent. Our thoughts: good, honest, home cooking style food, with quality ingredients and creative and tasty combinations - we would recommend it highly. We will be coming back. Ah, yes, the wine was also good, and Bruno\s wife was very friendly, acting as the host, and also spoke English - Bruno unfortunately does not... Amazing place - don\t judge a book by its cover!
