The Casual, situated in design hotel Das Stue, is the less formal sibling to Michelin starred restaurant Cinco (Paco Paéz). For Das Stue guests breakfast is served in The Casual dining room. Breakfast cost 35Euro/person for the full á la carte menu. Not quite value for money, either go with the lighter alternatives or choose a different spot. At dinner we unfortunately were placed at the exact same table where we had our breakfast the same day. After breakfast we asked about the seating for dinner and were told that we were placed at the same table. When asking if they could change it to a table closer to the kitchen they told us they would try. This didn\t happen - we think partly due to language difficulties. Overall, the staff\s English is good but sometimes it does not meet the standard expected in a hotel like Das Stue. On The Casual dinner menu tapas and schnitzel mixes with Spanish inspired fish and meat dishes. Christmas Eve the restaurant served a set menu with or without wine pairing. We chose the menu with wine pairing. Tapas are good, especially the octopus. Next course is a shrimp canelòn which is well prepared and tasty. The poulard with potato puré and mushrooms tasted really good. Dessert with apple crumble, glühwein granité and cardamom ice cream was surprisingly light and fresh. Much tastier than the menu suggested and turned out to be a really nice ending to a pleasant meal. Overall the dishes were of good standard. The wine pairing could have been better. Service was a bit lacking, the red wine was served first after asking for it (after the poulard had arrived).. Staff is friendly but partly absent. They are trying but as a guest you get the impression that service is a bit unorganized and distracted. As the Cinco dining room is connected with The Casual one, you can see what\s going on in there.
