Unbelievable rudness from the waitress. On arriving she asked me what I\d like to order. I asked if they had herbal teas. Walking away she said: Yes we do, without taking my order. She just plonks a menu on the table. I saw there\s only one herbal tea so she could have easily taken the order. My friend arrives and I ask her if there is another dish I could oder with fried potatoes apart from the Matjes. "Nein" she sais in a tone that reminds of a certain German cliche\ which shall remain unnamed."Oh" I respond, "I like a clear statement". I then find my own combo, of course I can combine something with fried potatoes which she could have easily advised me about. I also ask for a Salad with only Olive Oil, and Soup. Soup is supposed to be Cress, but is half a liter of cream with wheat flower broth and no taste. My friend tries the soup and it is left uneaten. Salad arrives. No Olive Oil. I wait a while, then ask her for some. It never comes. I go inside to request this. She sees this, and pretends I don\t exist. I wait a full 4 minutes or so until someone gives me a small amount of Oil. Meanwhile my food is cold. Afer lunch I am hungry and frustrated. My friend asks if they have iced coffee. Her: "Nein"! Same lovely tone of voice. This place is the best example of everything is wrong with Schoeneberg, Berlin, however you want to set the borders. An absolute No-Go.
