On our way home from the Monte Verde region after a great day in the cloud forest. The crew was too hungry to wait to get home so we searched TA\s ideas on Nicoya. It was not promising as we would normally like to see multiple reviews before settling as a group in what and where to eat. So we agreed to go here based on one English review of ceviche. When we pulled up to the place, we were more than a little apprehensive. In fact I wanted to try the next place based on the exterior. But my daughter suggested not to judge a book by its cover and in we went. The menu is waaaay too big. But within its 16 pages lurk some fantastic seafood dishes. Avoid the beef. One of my sons who ordered a "steak" foraged on my seafood ceviche and prawn in white sauce with mushrooms almost as much as I did. The prawns were very fresh, not overly cooked, and over seasoned (like all the food in Costa Rica - what is with this addiction to MSG?!?) but very good. The calamari and rice was the best dish of all and we all devoured my wife\s plate (much to her chagrin). The ceviche was very good and ranked near the top of the many sampling so had had while in CR. Would definitely recommend if you must stop in Nicoya.
