This small wine bar seems to be very popular with the locals and rightly so! It has a fantastic ambiance and a very rich selection of wines. There are bottles and cases all over the place and the few tables are nestled between them. There is a great choice of wines by the glass or bottle and to accompany the drink a plate of choice sausages and smoked meats is offered. The place is open till late at night and is always crowded. If you happen to be in the 9th it is definitely worth a visit.

We arrived en masse at the Bouclier de Bacchus near parc Monceau (rue phalsbourg) and were greatly very warmly. The wine they suggested was perfect and the food was excellent. It was a really nice way to spend an afternoon and such great value for money. Just goes to show you don\t need to spend a fortune in a posh restaurant to have great food, great service and a great time. I would definitely recommend Bouclier de Bacchus.
