Pork chop with chorizo special was certainly among the top two or three chops I\ve had (something as a U.S. Midwesterner I find painful to say). Every dish benefitted from both creative, balanced flavors and perfectly executed cook times. Came here on a friend\s recommendation and was delighted with the choice.

Found this spot by chance a few blocks from the Hotel Astor -- what a lucky find. Intimate dining room with attentive service. Waiter recommended a wine to go with my meal and, to my delight, brought a delicious glass and then invited me to guess the appellation. I was off by a few hundred miles, but that\s OK, he graciously explained some key characteristics of the terroir complete with a wine map of France. Didn\t do it in a condescending way, but with the enthusiasm of a wine lover eager to share his knowledge with other enthusiasts. Definitely coming back to do the same things soon.

This restaurant, headed by 1992 World Sommelier Champion Philippe Faure-Brac doesn\t disappoint. The venue is nice and understated. The seasonal menu changes monthly with additional daily options. The dishes are very well-made, although we found they lacked seasoning (easily remedied). The wine list is magnificent, both by the glass and by the bottle, ensuring your liver is catered for, as well as your stomach.the only downside was the cheese which did not live to its promise (good only by international standards). Still, all in all, a very fine venue with excellent service. A must for all wine lovers.
