This place looks like an other café but the food is really of a much better quality. The portions are small however and the prices of the plats du jour aren\t always clearly marked and be aware that the difference between having one main dish vs. the menu is only one euro so it\s not worth it to skip the dessert or starter.

Walked about a block south from Jardin des Plantes and passed up several cafes before we found this one.Very busy with a wife and husband manning the bar and restaurant service. Very welcoming And wife speaks English. Food was very good.We had formulae with 1 fish on a pureed vegetable and 1 roast chicken. White asparagus for entrees with hollandaise sauce and parmesan. Enjoyed everything except wine ( Bourgogne in a carafe) was very weak. But would definitely go here again.

Funnily enough if you order Light or Zero Coke you will be served small portion of food. Nice to seat next to charming Jane Birkin and have a tasty (light light) lunch. Young and pleasant staff.
