Not only the place was mind-blowing as if you enter the underground pub scene in Inglourious Basterds (2009), the entertainment was exceptionally entertaining. I have not laughed so much for so long that I literally cried while still laughing. One older gentleman with a guitar rocked the place entertaining over 30 people, this makes me wonder if people come to this place to enjoy his performance or for the food, but the food was good– it could have not been better.

Our tour group gathered at this venue for a planned dinner. It was, by far, the best meal we had on our trip to France. Started with french onion soup, then roasted duck confit and for dessert, profiteroles. Everything was delicious. The venue had a guitar player and accordianist who entertained us during our meal The ambiance was great and the restaurant personnel were fantastic. They could not do enough for our group. Would highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting an intimate dinner where the food, wine and ambiance are great.

L&#39;Escarmouche is a great place to dine. The restaurant staff was warm and welcoming. The underground dining area had an invitingly warm and cozy ambience, and as we were seated, the wait staff went to work and were soon taking our orders. Soon after the appetizers came out, our orders followed. The food and wine was excellent and was complemented by the musical performance of two gentlemen -one playing the guitar and the other an accordion. Their singing was so contagious that shortly thereafter, they had members of our group singing after them which made for relaxing and entertaining evening!
