Went to this lovely place after we had been to a terrible place to eat we wish we had found this before. The boss and the waiter that was on Tuesday night the 14th. Prices were good, lovely atmosphere food looked delicious noticed when other people had ordered food. Can\t recommend this place enough lovely atmosphere and defiantly would go back there if every in Paris again.

I often give unfairly positive reviews to restaurants I visit when I am either \hangry\ or desperately happy. La Magenta was fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to receive 5 tired cyclists into its Parisian doors after 200 miles of cycling, emotionally depleted and ready to eat.. The restaurant confused me, i didn\t know if it was a tourist trap or a gaff for the regulars. In the end I decided that it may be for both, but I didn\t care if I\d paid over the odds for the meal I just wanted something to distract me from my aching quadriceps, but wow was it worth it. One of my fellow eaters says he enjoyed the best steak of his life in La Magenta, now that may have been the hanger talking but I had the steak too and it was pretty darn good. I would recommend ordering the coffee and mixed puddings for dessert and the steak for mains. The onion soup was pretty excellent and the staff were competent and friendly if not a tad overstretched. Again I think if I can\t speak French properly I can\t expect too much from a waiter trying his best to mollify my inept lingual skills. Probably deserved a four star review but given my calorie deficit when I went in, and that i wasn\t booted out for being too smelly I would recommend it highly. Merci

The night we went, just the one waiter running himself ragged! But, super service, very relaxed, friendly service, We were encouraged to take our time. The food was lovely, we all had different meals, decent portion sizes, recommend the steak!
