On the way from Place de la Bastille to Les Halles we stopped for a quick lunch in what looked to be a friendly brasserie just around the corner from the Hotel de Ville and it was a decent choice. A surprisingly tender, well seasoned, rumsteak and fries and a fragrant penne four fromages cooked just right was just what we needed to continue our day. Neither was fantastic, however both were pleasing, reasonably portioned and economically priced and we were well pleased. Add the efficient service, warm environs and animated younger crowd and we couldn\t help but enjoy our visit. The cool Leffe also contributed.
