有特色的室内设计,甚至小到每一件餐具的选择,都让你在墨尔本体验不一样的泰式风情!除了味道特别的早餐,这里独创的招牌菜KaNhomJeen也是其他泰餐馆尝不到的.

Friends told us about this place in Berkeley Street Carlton. An old factory has been transformed and it\s filled when we arrive for a late breakfast. The place is filled with university students from around the corner. We shared and tried a few different, a Thai burger for instance! It worked. Others tried more traditional fare like the pork belly. This was apparently roasted and not deep fried. the result was soft and juicy but still crispy. Curries are noticeably different to most we\d tried in Melbourne. they are authentic and spicy - not the bland offerings that abound these days. The owner told us they specialise in Southern Thai but will soon do Northern Issan dishes too. Smart look. Smart food and smart service. Overall a real winner.

Middlefish Restaurant Explore TripAdvisor feedback and you’ll meet mainly praise for the quality of the Thai cuisine and mixed reviews about service. Well ... we agree with the first point, but service with a smile and an instant table, which was quickly followed by our choice of plates firmly rejects the latter. So a great eating experience in a converted workshop that once reflected small-scale industrial manufacturing within the inner suburbs of the city. Following the students And that reference to the ‘left-bank’ – reminiscence of the original - not the original-original but the bistros, cafes, small eateries and more that reflect student life in the quatier universitaire based upon the Sorbonne of earlier/recent years; and before it became part of Parisian tourist trails. It was this thing about entering a restaurant to find that it was full and that most of the people eating were young and probably part of nearby Melbourne University. Outside in the street the same people – mainly Asian – were queuing to buy take-away food at similar places. The restaurant was noisy. We ate & paid On a rainy wind-swept day in early May it represented a haven of aromas, warmth, friendliness and eating pleasure. There were six of us, one of whom was from Bangkok. He did the ordering for a selection that provided a mix of exploration and well-known; vegetables, meats and fish with tastes that challenged the pallet. For a table of three couples our main plates were two Tom Yums (noodles plus) and one each Mussaman (beef, shallots) & Keaw Whan (chicken curry). Augmented with white & brown rice and a couple of ‘little things’: fish cakes & tiger prawn spring rolls with dips. There was coconut ice cream and dumplings to follow – again shared. This was lunch – but then we’d only had coffee & brioche for breakfast, and then dawdled over most of the afternoon eating and talking. The owner and her husband came across and sat down for a spell. Total bill was A$120 ($20/person). We liked
