We have used this restaurant through Menulog which is convenient. Each time we order the same so we do know what we should be getting. Only once did we have an issue which was resolved by the restaurant. The Peking duck is lovely and all the other dishes we order are what we would expect from a Chinese restaurant. They have been prompt with the delivery time.

My first time at the Golden Orient, looking forward to Yum Cha. Walking toward the front door was found to be littered with leaves an empty takeaway coffee cup. Made it look rather uninviting. Undeterred, we ate lunch which was ok. Being a chilli lover I asked for a small bowl of fresh chilli. A bowl of chilli sauce was served. Again, I asked for fresh chilli. It arrived in a frozen clump and was unusable. When I quietly questioned the frozen chilli I was informed that is how they serve it., to keep it fresh. I sent it back. When paying the bill I noted fresh chilli being chopped... In readiness to freeze. Very disappointing. The service was a bit lacking and I felt I was being frowned upon for my request. Not rushing back....
