I had read a review for Chikos ages ago and hadn\t made it there yet. Last night was our first time. Pulling up into a packed carpark i looked at the outside and thought..... Ooops this could be a mistake. We were meeting friends so forged on. Our booked table was ready (you must pre book to ensure a table), although I think they moved us from the cute booth to a table when they saw the height of my partner. Drinks menu came out and we ordered just your standard fare. Beer wine non alcoholic. The menus came out. What a delicious menu on offer. There was a chefs menu which two of our party had, duck entree, chicken main and cervena main, i had hot ladle chowder and salmon main, and my partner, pork buns and beef main. The entrees came out and wow! The were beautifully plated, my chowder was huge and it tasted amazing! I would choose this again. The duck was in its own little glass bowl thing filled with smoke, it looked spectacular, the pork buns they didn\t look as flash. The mains arrived and again looked great, they all had the flowery, decorative slices of veges on top like bouquets. Visually they are really pretty. The cervena and chicken went down a treat, my salmon was cooked perfectly although i didn\t like the flavour of the puree (personal taste), my partner thought the beef could have been better. Overall we were very happy with our meal. Dessert is good they bring you over a selection and you get to see what you will get, you pick from those. I didn\t eat dessert but the baileys creme brûlée was a table favourite! I will definitely come here again. For me there is an awful lot of pork in the mains, like there might only be two items that don\t have pork in them, so i will just pick from the entree menu!
