I was thrilled to find this beautiful, rustic taverna hidden away, almost underneath the realto bridge... Under the very noses of millions of isuspecting tourists. You can practically smell the toothsome cicchetti and Venetian mains stepping off the bridge. Just take a look at their case of cicchetti coming in the door, point at a few, and the amiable staff will bring it to any table for you (which you can sit at for no cover charge + they have wifi). I went there on my third day in Venice and was really sad that I hadn\t discovered this place earlier. It became my favorite haunt in Venice, culinary wise, and I can\t wait to return. Ci vediamo, Corte dell\Orso, Grazie Mille! P.S. Try the ginger spritz, it\s a very surprising twist on the classic aperol.

We visited this eaterie on the first night of our Venice trip as it wasn\t far from the hotel. Although the food was reasonable, the wine was pricey and there was a hefty service charge added to the bill. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, just a shame we weren\t blown away.
