This great little bar / caffe was right next to our hotel (Numero 8, also excellent) so we literally stumbled across it during our first night in Florence. What a neat little spot! Comfy seats, good live (and house) music, friendly bar staff, and a solid, low-key vibe. We went back again a couple nights later, after discovering that the other night spots in the Oltrarno area were loud, dark, and pretty unwelcoming. Pay this place a visit!

It is near the river, in a nice area and the bar itsel is beautifully decorated. You can relax and read a book, or grab a coffe or a drink. When we went there was a jazz live, it was very good but the place was too crowded. The cocktails we had were very good and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

It\s been years since I\ve been to this place and I went last night with some friends. Their FB page stated "Celtic music" (with flutes, no less) at 22:30. We arrived 22:40. No music. I could see other people glancing at their watches. 23:00- nothing. FINALLY at almost 23:30 (when the musicians were done chatting with friends) the music started and they played jazz (???). We ended up leaving.
