Looking for something better than a typical bar and wanting to sample some of the excellent regional Tuscan wines, we stumbled into this excellent wine bar in Altrarno. It\s just a couple of blocks from the Ponte Vecchio on a little side street. Make a hard right at the base of the bridge and keep looking for a gorgeous window display of wine bottles and oenophile implements. Inside, the walls are lined with endless shelves filled with bottles. There are a few little tables where you can have a glass of almost anything you wish accompanied by a delicious cheese and crostini platter. The staff will gladly provide guidance if you\re not sure what you\d like to try. You can also buy bottles here and have them shipped. This was one of our nicest wine experiences in Italy.
