Pizzaioli comes through again with yet another fabulous meal special, this time the Tomahawk steak. This steak is huge at about 20 inches long! The photo shows one actually split to share (which is more than enough for two people). Pair this with a nice wine and your all set, of course they still have their regular steak and seafood menu along with pizza, pasta and sandwiches. Recently they had a Soft shell crab special that was fabulous. Finding fresh seafood in the IE has always been a challenge. Always listen for the specials as that is the best of the best. There is not another restaurant within 20 miles that serves such great, fresh food and has such wonderful service.

Had dinner here last week. Pizzaioli has a varied selection of pastas, meat and fish entrees. My husband ordered linguini and meat balls, and I chose the lasagna. Both were very generous in portions. In fact, we each brought home enough to create a second meal at home. Sauce was zesty, as were the meatballs. Very flavorful. My husband also enjoyed the clam chowder...thick and with a nice supply of clams. The house salad was was pretty standard...lettuce and tomatoes, basically. Bread was a soft Italian, which nicely complimented the chopped tomato topping that accompanied it. The wine list appeared to be a little on the pricey side, although one could choose within the $40 range. Half bottles started around $25. Corkage is free Monday and Thursday, and according to wait staff around 15 for wine brought in. The ambiance is somewhat "Eastern bistro" with a bar area separate from the actual dining area, although there are also tables in the bar area too. Music by Sinatra and other Italian singers complements it as well. Nice food in casually comfortable surroundings.

This restaurant is hidden in a strip mall within a larger complex of stores and restaurants. We had heard that it was very good, but quite expensive. We decided to visit it for lunch a few months ago. I ordered a small pepperoni and sausage pizza and my wife ordered a pasta dish with fresh cooked vegetables in a olive oil based sauce. Our real Italian waiter advised me that there Pepperoni was peppers, not a salami type sausage. I had once ordered a pepperoni pizza in Europe and found that out after the fact! The pizza was fabulous! The peppers had a unique taste (the waiter said they were a Japanese pepper (I don\t remember the name he mentioned0 and were in very thin, frilly slices. My wife\s pasta dish was also wonderful and the portions provided were enough for two meals.
