Coastal Grill is sited in a very large & fancy Embassy Suites located on the beach in Oxnard, not Ventura, CA. There are frequent weddings and other parties here most weekends so the restaurant piggy-backs on some of that business, but they are doing a very nice job with the food and wine. An innovative menu with a decent wine list make this a great local place for us. The portions are medium - you can have an entree and still have room to share a salad or dessert. There is a full bar as well as some very big separate rooms for large parties. A young and enthusiastic wait staff - great location in the Oxnard/Channel Islands area - I wish them all the success in the world! Not cheap but worth it.
