We loved this place... it was local to where we were staying and we went there on our first night, we went back on fathers day, and in our last day for lunch.. The food is good quality, fresh, nice portion sizes, not huge thank god, and nice fresh veg. The burger was particularly good, as was the club and my kids loved the sticky toffee pudding.... What made this place for us was the staff,. The owner Nancy was just lovely, full of local info and so welcoming as were her staff. There was a nice mix of people from families to couples, what I really liked was how kind they all were to everyone that walked in....

The front is high tables and small, two-person booths, around the bar that you can also sit at. The front is full windows letting natural light flood in. The back is restaurant-style seating with booths and tables. There is a fireplace that is used during the colder months adding a nice touch. But it\s bright and open even in the back during the day. Kids are welcome and strollers saddled up along tables are fine as long as they don\t block the path of servers or customers, but staff will seat you somewhere they are out of the way in my experience. There are multiple highchairs for toddlers and bigger kids. Good food and I have gone a few times with our infant son for lunch or an afternoon stop during a walk for an app and a drink. And also go regularly with friends for dinner or a night of drinks. It suits both occasions well in my opinion. Happy to have found it.
