A lovely menu if you want a taste of home with all of the old favorites, friendly staff and good facilities enjoyed several meals here on my last trip. Keep up the good work Maurice and staff and we will be back next year.
Sometimes one needs a change from Thai food and Mo's fish, chips and mushy peas hits the spot dead on!
Recently visited this pub for lunch to see what it was like. Ordered a tuna mayo sandwich and a Greek salad. The sandwich was excellent however the salad was swimming in dressing. My partner did not eat all of the salad and the waitress refunded the cost. Perhaps they could in future offer the salad with dressing on the side to avoid having to reimburse customers. Overall a good experience.
We were really excited by the menu and the fact they had all the right English sauces (HP brown sauce, Heinz Ketchup, Sarsons vinegar etc) but the food did not live up to their lovely sounding menu. I had the ploughmans, it came with one bit of cheese (cheddar), one picked onion, branston pickle, a bit of lettuce, a tomato and I had to pay extra for ham (which was the processed kind), Massive shame. Go for a drink, but eat the yummy Thai food around.
