It doesn\t look much from the front , it actually looks like a bar , but you get taken out the back to lovely surroundings , the food is very good as was the service . The prices are ok around 250 - 350 for mains so not super cheap but not expensive either ( I\m talking relatively here, its all cheap in Thailand ! ). Also the manager came around to say hello and make sure everything was ok which was great .

My wife was hanging out for some genuine european fare, especially potatoes. We were not disappointed. The flavours of the food were really good,. As good as you would get in Germany. We also had dessert and the same was true. Delicious and generous serve.

Finally, somewhere in Phuket that knows how to make a good creamy pepper sauce with green peppercorns, it must be because they have an Austrian Chef as that sauce is the best we have had in Phuket. The Austrian Garden restaurant is modern and very comfortable with an open kitchen. It is also a good spot for people watching along Soi Eden. Staff are friendly and if the Austrian manager is around he makes sure to say hello and check everything is ok. Prices are good considering this is a hotel restaurant and drinks are very reasonable, probably amongst the cheapest in Patong. The Austrian Garden Hotel & Restaurant in Soi Eden Patong has been open now for about 25 years so they definitely must be doing something right. Lovely place for families to eat as well.
