Having viewed the gallery we sauntered round to the cafe on the ground floor . With a nice array of scones and bakes we plumped for the spiced scones and jam with lattes. Good choice just out of the oven these were superb . The cafe itself is well lit with large windows and superb architecture . a great place to take the weight off your feet.

just went for a cuppa - but then saw this wide choice of scrumptious delicacies ( cakes etc ) ended up with a couple cakes after a warm bowl of soup - service is both prompt and cheery - food is really good and prices very good considering you are in the middle of Edinburgh

I had booked a table for a Saturday for 5 of us to have the Afternoon Tea. The food was great with a very large selection on offer for food and drink. Started off with a small cup of soup with a cheese scone followed by various sandwiches. This was followed on with delicious cakes, scones and shots of ganache. I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of afternoon tea in central Edinburgh.
