Food was excellent but service was a little slow, surprising since the restaurant was not very full. Week night traffic was minimal.

I liked the location and the well appointed room. The food was very good. The wine list was overpriced but acceptable. The waiters were not as knowledgeable as they should have been nor as well mannered as I would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. One of the meals out of four was substituted and another waiter told us about it not our own waiter. They tried to assuage us by substituting a more expensive dish for a lesser price which was un acceptable. The entire dish should have been free since it was their mistake in not communicating the substitution. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning again.

I took my college age daughters there to celebrate the end of school. I had an appetizer of pan seared scallops that were cooked to perfection, followed by the Beef Wellington (a standing menu item) that was prepared beautifully. It is one of my favorite dishes but it is hard to find because it is so difficult to prepare properly and Chefs Station did a really nice job. My daughters had a foie gras appetizer which had a nice portion size, and an Alaskan Halibut and lobster that was also excellent. The experience got better as we moved to the dessert. It seemed things were taking a long time and the server came and said the chef was unsatisfied with how my peach bread pudding came out so they were making another one, and brought out a complimentary chocolate raspberry tort that was superb. The bread pudding was well worth the wait, as was the warm chocolate cake. I will definitely be going back for a special occasion meal again soon.
