We stumbled upon this place by accident but ended up loving it. We sat at the bar and watched the chef in action, and also ended up chatting with some friendly people who were obviously regulars. Great sushi and a fun experience. Also reasonably priced. The eel was very tasty.

A small restaurant located in Nishiki Market, north of Shijo Dori. A perfect sushi is offered there. Restaurant has two storeys, try to get a seat at the bar on the ground level. It is more comfortable and you can see the chef preparing sushi – it is really amazing. Sushi is served on the marble bar directly, you take it with sticks to your plate. English menu helps you to limit risk of misunderstanding while order a meal.

Ok little place making average sushi. We ordered a fairly inexpensive sushi set to get a taste of a few things and size up other items to add though we weren\t persuaded to try anything else by what we tried. Average quality fish fairly poorly prepared in fairly stingy portions. The chef showed little care in his craft as we watched fish go to waste due to poor knife skills. If you want average cheap sushi its ok for a quick bite. Also, as with so many options in Japan having smokers in a restaurant isn\t the best way to enjoy flavours.
