Fantastic bar with a nice relaxed vibe. We loved it so much we visited everynight of our Kyoto visit. Bartender Ken is just fantastic, we already miss him and his wonderful pub. Thanks for the memories.

This place is an island of awesome and calm amidst the crowds and streams of folks perusing food options in the alley below. Nice selection of tap beers and Kyoto local bottles. It has a nice long wooden bar and the wood paneled ambiance of a pub, and the bartender speaks knowledgeably about each beer on the menu. Tip: if the Ohmi beef restaurant just below it has a wait (and that wait is also worth it), tell them you\ll pop up to Jive for a drink while you wait.
