The Tofu in Kyoto is some of the best I have had, so trying a fully tofu restaurant was a treat. It was only by chance that I found this place here on tripadvisor. I stayed nearby for a few night , and was looking for a restaurant close to there, so got the hotel to make a reservation there. This place is famous in Japan for the tofu cousins, as a Japanese couple to me , and I can understand why. The served tofu , in different styles and textures. Highly recommended.

This was an experience I\m very glad we had. Kyoto is known for its tofu and here we sampled every type in an 11 course tasting menu. As the photos show, the presentation was delicate and the menu was in English, so it wasn\t a problem to know what we were eating. The best dish was the tofu with miso glazing. Make a reservation, since they will book a private room for you. For those who are true vegetarians or vegans, make sure to tell them that you don\t eat fish flakes (in the bonito) or crab. Tourists who don\t come here miss out.
