Stayed at the Double Tree and decided to give this restaurant a go. First impression was that the service staff weren\t really interested in providing any service even though that\s what they are paid to do. They did not query if I wanted to get a drink after the menu was passed to me. The restaurant was not very crowded but the staff all seemed pre-occupied with their own banter. Ordered the seafood spaghetti, brocolli soup and tiramisu. The food actually tasted alright. Not exactly mouth watering good but certainly not crap. Price was ok for its location I reckon but service seriously needs to be improved.

First and foremost the service is really quite bad. You kind of just get chucked down at a table and menus handed to you. No guide or recommendations which is poor for a restaurant within such a nice hotel. You don\t get seen to much, too often I was trying to flag someone down to order another drink, get some black pepper, look at the desert menu, etc. The food I found to be quite good, especially the lamb main I had. Tried the beef carpaccio for starters but it was smothered in a sweet American type mustard. Very odd. I won\t be going back. Will stick to Tosca and Beast. They seem to care about you.

Proceed only if you can Accept these : 1. Ordered Grill Lamb slice but it was served Cold ... how could hot Grilled Lamb become cold ?? Answer is becos the plate was chilling cold, all experienced Chef in upmarket restaurants + 5 star hotels will know that the cold plate must be heated up to receive the hot Lamb ... that\s QUALITY SERVICE 2. Ordered Hot Apple Pie but was served Cold Apple Pie despite several Reminders to the Waiter that it must be served Hot, have to send back for reheating. 3. Given a small round Table that flips over when you rest your hands on it !!! This is Incredible !!! 4. There are 5 Waiters running around but none bother to check on Guests service, you have to chase after them for service as waving both hands plus a napkin may not work. 5. Hate going to restaurants where there are no Supervisors, Managers or Owner managing the outlet as all Complaints / Requests/ Suggestions will fall on Deaf Ears as the place runs on Auto Pilot and nobody cares as nobody is in Charge. 6. There is no Wifi in such a classy place inside a 5 star Hotel ... stingy on wrong things 7. Its a pity a nice and cosy restaurant like this is run like a Canteen.
