Great, wide variety of many different Japanese dishes. The fish is delicious, and it\s worth trying some of the items that are not available outside the region. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and make great suggestions for food. It was a very pleasant experience, and something of a surprise.

Was walking down Bukit Bintang street trying to figure out what to have for dinner when I stumbled across this Japanese restaurant. It forms part of the Federal Hotel with a corner frontage to the main road. Took a look at the menu and saw quite a few Japanese folks enjoying the food in the restaurant. Hmm, that is usually a good sign I said to myself. As usual took a chair at the sushi counter where Chef Sako was preparing a meal. It is always a pleasure to see the chefs at work at a Japanese restaurant and Chef Sako was no different. Feeling ravenous, I ended up choosing the chiraisi dish which he recommended. What a great choice as the meal was simple and yet outstanding - the freshness of the ingredients which were flown in from Japan stood out. The tuna belly, sea urchin, prawns, hamachi and salmon pieces stood out. Service was good and attentive. Thank you Kaihomaru and Chef Sako for the wonderful meal. I am sure I will be back!

We (me and my girlfriend) found this in a "top sushi restaurants in KL"-guide Aas we were really craving sushi. The restaurant seemed promising as it is in a really posh mall. However, the restaurant was almost empty - just one more couple when we arrived. The menu didn\t describe the dishes that good in English, so we went for a mixed plate with 28 pieces for 330RM (Yes we were hungry). It had two of each nigiri so it was ideal for sharing (+ 6 makis). Most of it was good, but the quality of the fish was far from supreme as other reviewers have claimed, so considering the cost, we were a bit disappointed.
