We were bought a Harrods High Tea for our anniversary and arrived at the Georgian Restaurant on the fourth floor of Harrods expecting something quite classy and special, given its location. The restaurant itself is very pretty with its Art Deco glass and reliefs. It was very clean and seating comfortable and well spaced out. Staff were quite polite, but noticeable in their absence once you had ordered. The High tea itself was nothing special. There were turkey, beef, egg and salmon which were ok but nothing better than from a local supermarket. I\m vegetarian and the staff bought me a vegetarian selection of pepper, artichoke and blue cheese sandwiches. These were inedible and even the waiter agreed the staff would not eat them. There were 3 small finger sized pastries, followed by scones, which also were pretty ordinary and of worse quality than my local tea shop. The tea arrived and first cups were served. The pot was left, but handle was too hot to pick up so, as no waiter was around, I had to use my napkin to avoid burning my hand. The tea quickly became stewed but I was not offered a fresh pot and it became undrinkable. We were also charged £7 for two glasses of water. Ladies toilets were dirty with 3 out of 5 seats broken. Sadly disappointing and overall not what I was expecting from such a supposedly classy place. I would not Ho back or recommend to anyone else.
