I visited Ottimofiore first time almost 30 years ago, and returned again to have some basic, homecooked Italian food. And I was not dissapointed! The prices are very affordable, and the food is genuine - as well as the restaurant gueast that seem to primarily be regular, local return customers. We had the antipasti buffet for starters and 3 different pasta courses, which all were delicious. Of course we also had to have the tiramisu and we were not disappointed. If you want to experience a small, humble trattoria - and feel like time has been standing still for the past 30 years - allowing for good service, tranquility and great food - then I highly recommend Ottimofiori. I will not wait another 30 years to come back.

Visited as a solo diner and had a wonderful meal and experience. The setting is traditional with green and white tablecloths. Service was attentive and appropriate for a solo diner. The waiter spoke enough English to match my minimal Italian and we got by just fine. Menu is in Italian and English. Pasta and main course were both hearty and delicious. House red wine was fine for the price. Tiramisu was sublime. The waiter also bought a small shot glass of a Sicilian digestivo that was very nice. Highly recommended.

I found this place through TA as I had intended to stay in Chinatown area. It did not materialize though, we stayed near Linate airport. But we drove there eventually. Restaurant was homely and the gentlemen serving us were very friendly. We ordered the swordfish carpaccio, two pasta, a salad that we requested for their recommendation, and the house red wine. The swordfish carpaccio was lovely, the fish was fresh, though a little too sour for my liking. They recommended a Caesar salad, which was topped with anchovies. The cabbage was cut finely and anchovies was very soft and nicely marinated. I would say I like this dish more than the swordfish carpaccio. We ordered a spaghetti and seafood pasta. The pasta were cooked al dente, and were served fast. Upon finishing our appetizers, the plates were cleared immediately and main dishes served. The red wine was smooth. Bread were also placed on our table when we sit. The bill came up to around 50 euros, which was reasonable to us.
