A big, clean restaurant serving delicious dishes, Pin Si Restaurant was indeed a delightful find for our family. We are surprised though that it was so empty on a Sunday evening. Nevertheless, it gave us the opportunity to enjoy the peace and have the full attention of the friendly waitresses. The few dishes I ordered from the extensive list were lip-smacking good at a reasonable price. 1. Braised Bitter Gourd & Spare Ribs (served pipping hot in a claypot) $15 2.Grouper Fish slices with spring onion (stir-fried) $18 3. Braised BeanCurd with Spinach $13 4. Crispy Prawn with Tartar Sauce $18 5.Stewed Ee-Fu Noodle with Crab Meat $18 Portions were generous and my husband, son and I were so full that we had to take-away the Stewed Noodle (which was subsequently devoured with gusto by my daughter back home!) When we were there, the restaurant was having a 1-for-1 promotion for Watermelon Juice $4.50. Being a fan of lemongrass, I had also ordered their dessert, Chilled Lemongrass Jelly, which was refreshing and light. Total bill after 20% Safra Card discount came up to $90.85. Overall, a delightful meal. I am already planning to go back soon to try their dim-sum with my extended family.
