Friends brought me there for a birthday treat. Environment is normal, not fancy. You can see from the photos here. Variety food from the menu, 4 of us we decided to order the recommended dish, Suyuk (pork belly), it comes with sauces, cucumber and white carrot in slices. Wrap the meat with vege, dip into the sauce to eat it. Hmmm it was okay, the meat itself is plain, so it is slightly healthier. Second dish we ordered was Dakgalbi, pan-fried seasoning chicken with vegetable, rice cakes and spicy sauce. But the chicken is slightly uncooked.... I would suggest they cook longer. When we almost done eating, adding rice to cook together to become fried rice is highly recommended. Besides rice, attendant will push a cart over to cook for you. They add a lot of seaweed, if u want more, u can request more. Seaweed fried rice with Dakgalbi and sesame oil is delicious especially if you love spicy food. Third one we ordered Jjiangbbong Jeongol. Spicy soup hot pot with lot of seasoned seafood, vegetables and glass noodle. Tofu, fresh prawns, squids, fish slices and mussels. Strong seafood tasted soup, it goes very very well with the noodle too. I would highly recommend the seafood pot. Well, if you don\t like all above, they have a lot more dishes serve in big portion. They also serve individual portions of food like kimchi fried rice, bulgogi with rice, bibimbap, kimchi or soybean soup with rice , seafood pancake so on and on. Since my last visit to Big Mama, I\ve visited the restaurant again!! after 6 months, the standard is still the same - as good as before. I love the boneless beef ribs and the pork "sam cham bak". I\ve appended a photo this time for foodies\ reference :) Please note that it is best to call for reservation at least one day in advance because the dining crowd in the evenings are really huge.
