The food was very enjoyable in this simple looking pub. Nothing was making it look different to thousands of pubs in the uk, where food can be a bit cantiney sometimes. But not at the sun inn. We got pork belly and salmon en croute, which both where delicous, and served with carefully chosen sides, ie not the usual 3 boiled veg, that does not bring anything to the table. The portions were not very big, so could be considered a bit pricey, but not in the heart of the lake district. Not sure how good it is in full season, when the restaurant is packed; we went mid october, so it wasn\t too busy.
