Gohtong Jaya, 云顶高原 马来西亚
营业时间 周一至周日 下午3:00 - 上午1:00
They served delicious Malay-Thai cuisine with reasonable price. So do not hesitate to order any food rhat you want to eat. Place are comfortable and open-air concept. The air breeze coming from outside are cold enough, so they don't have to install any air conditioner. Will come again in our next visit to Genting Highlands...!!
The restaurant is near to Gohtong Jaya roundabout; within a long row of 4-storey shops that also include Seri Malaysia hotel. It was one of 3 halal restaurants in the area. Serves Malay and Thai foods according to signage but also has a "roti canai/pratha" station opened for dinner. It was a busy evening with many tables occupied. We were lucky to have found one when there was a large group of customers that came in just behind us. Apparently (we overheard) they had booked their seats earlier. The table that we sat at was not clean e.g. with food stains and drink spills but the owner/cashier quickly cleaned it before giving us the menu card. There were not many choices in the menu. We ordered "kampong" fried rice, bird-eye chilli fried rice, "tom yam" seafood soup and "telur bistik" (vegetables wrapped in fried eggs); besides drinks. The restaurant seemed to lack staff for the crowd level but we were pleasantly surprised with the quick service. We've got our drinks within 5 minutes and foods served hot around 10 minutes later. All of us thought the food was quite tasty and chickenmeat/prawns/vegetables fresh. The soup was the "santan"/coconut-milk type and quite nice. The chilli rice was very hot though and my son had to remove the chilli bits (besides the vegetables as always) but he finished most of the plate. Later we ordered "roti telur"/egg (flour-based) pancake as a take-away for him. No great hospitality you can expect here. The boss and staff didn't readily smile or welcome us but not in an unfriendly way. They were attentive and efficient though, and served those who came first. There were many regulars that night and they are (sort of) accustomed to the service. The food was reasonably priced considering the highland location. All of the above and 2 canned drinks costed us MYR32 (USD10).
