Have been coming here for a few years now. I am not one for fancy decor and frills. The food and service is always top quality. If you are after a good meal with extensive menu then come to the Maharani. The decor is dated but to me that is bottom on my list when having an Indian meal

Was here a few weeks ago with friends and all was good, however, Sat. Night curry with the wife was not so appealing. Sat in a draughty spot by the door, service was slow, and the advertised Perrier water on the menu was subbed with nondescript sparkling water from, apparently, the waiters car.???? Onion chutney with the poppadoms was somewhat dried out, but the popps themselves were lovely. I ordered the tandoori mixed grill, comes with plain naan, asked to sub for keema naan and got both.?? Tasty, though, no complaints about the mains. Service needs a polish, though.

I ate here on a business trip to Swansea so I was dining by myself. I love trying different Indian vegetarian dishes so asked if I could just order a few vegetarian sides with a naan. The staff were friendly, chatty and made me feel welcome and like nothing was a problem. The food was all delicious, good value and not too oily as other reviews suggested. I did have all vegetable dishes though. The decor seemed fine to me, nothing fancy but a nice place to eat. I\d visit here again and recommend it.
