This cafe/restaurant has been around for 2 years so is maybe not as well known as other more shabby looking and cheaper ones which have been on Lamai beach for longer. But in my opinion, this is the best, value for money, clean, friendly and efficient cafe/restaurant on Lamai Beach in which my wife and I have had the pleasure to eat in on 3 consecutive days out of 6 in Koh Samui. Joana, the friendly Philipino lady with a smile which could light up a room, welcomes you and ushers you in. You can pick a sun lounger, with free towels, free wifi, or a table on the beach, whichever you prefer. 3 guys made our eating experience excellent- 2 guys from Burma originally- Ngel and Bai and another gentleman called Kyau. Ask for them - their English is perfect and they will look after you. They have a free pool table and happy hour (reduced alcoholic drinks, eg, Tiger beer at 60 Bhat) from 5pm-8pm. All other restaurants and cafes nearby on the beach pale into comparison as they have lights on when it goes dark whereas this place offers you candlelit dinners and lamps if you prefer. For lunch I would recommend the papaya salad, the seafood salad or the caesar salad. The fish and chips is very good too. These aren\t thai dishes obviously but they offer them too. It\s nice to have a change sometimes. The barbecued king prawns and squid are a generous portion and are properly seasoned. Good option for dinner. It\s bang on in the middle of the beach so is convenient and plays great chilling balearic house music, whereas other places don\t. It\s near most drop off points for taxis and hotel shuttle services for the beach entrance. Don\t miss out- it\s good food, is reasonably priced, clean, has friendly and efficient staff. Go here- you will not be disappointed! Adnan Bari and Yiesmin Haque (stayed at Rockys Boutique hotel and ate here 3 times in Dec 2015).
