Always make sure you go minimum twice for a nice lunch after the slopes. Amazing Soba, chose the cold ones, for a real Jap feeling.

This place is great. The soba is hand ground every morning and they serve it until they sell out. The hot soba broth was sensational and the noodles were perfect. Delicious!! Highly recommend and worth the trip out of Hirafu, just jump on the free shuttle and get off at stop 26 and walk about 300m further down the main road. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant is house in a standalone on the main road from Kutchan to Niseko. If you can read Japanese/Chinese, you will see \flags\ all over the parking lot with the words: Hand-made Soba. The restaurant serves two types of soba. The usual brown kind and a white kind. Not sure what are the difference in terms of ingredients. Both are yummy. You have options of: Cold soba with hot or cold dipping sauce or Soba in a hot soup. In terms of toppings, they have duck-breast, tempura soba etc. I tried the duck breast with soba in a hot soup. The soba is cooked to perfection. Not undercook and not to soggy. The soup base is duck flavour broth. Doesn\t have a too strong a flavour (like miso, or other soup base for ramen). We also had the cold tofu as apertizer. Very creamy. There\s an outdoor seating area with a great view of the valley below. Nice view in both summer and winter. Great lunch place.
