This pastry shop/diner represents quintessential Lisbon to me. Hectic, lively, great service, frenetic, very friendly, inexpensive, tasty....did I say it had a great vibe! Cross an American diner with a boulangerie and you have an accurate picture in your head.

Such a wide selection of great cakes and pastries and great coffee. Friendly staff and a great welcome. You can get meals there also, but we always had a coffee and cake there

This little cafe is just a few yards from our hotel (H10) &amp; we ate here every morning of our recent stay. Clearly a big hit with locals for fast, simple breakfasts &amp; dlicious Portuguese custard tarts. Always busy but service is friendly &amp; efficient, especially from the two older waitresses, who quickly remembers our preferences &amp; were unfailingly polite. Highly recommended!
