This is the best traditional food restaurant available in Lisbon. The owners are from northern Portugal, so that helps. :) The food is delicious, especially meat and all sorts of rices. The staff is very nice and friendly. Excellent cost benefit. A must visit If you want real Portuguese food.

This restaurant was recommended to us by some Portuguese friends. It is about 35 minutes by metro from the centre and is then 5 mins walk. It is a typical local restaurant but is does serve excellent food. You really need to be in a party of people because many of the more \exciting\ dishes are served only to 4 or more people. The food is excellent and the portions are huge; you need to be really hungry if you are to finish it all. My wife enjoyed a huge piece of cod, which was delicately flavoured and perfectly cooked. I had a squid and tomato stew which was wonderful but even I couldn\t finish it all (possibly because I had had a large piece of my wife\s cod}.The house wine, served in a china jug, is very tasty. There is a good range of local cheeses and puddings and the services was brilliant. If you are in the area have a meal here, you will enjoy it.

I\ve been recomended to go to this resturante and the food was just excelent. We\ve ask for the grilled cod and and grilled goat. Every thing was just perfect. Ther startes of cood were divine! Perfect hand cut chips, Perfect hand cut and with great love green beans ...excelent. The deseart was good, but unfortulnatly even after informing 2 times the water that it seemed to have an error on the bill ... he insisted in not correcting it, only where I insisted for him to call the table waiter, was when he dicided to correct it. Shame, otherwise it would have been a wonderfull expirience.
