Ancona is not exactly a tourist magnet, the town being depressing in its own way. Finding a place to eat can be a challenge here. I recommend Rosa Cremeria both for the quality of the food and the modern ambiance. I like the orecchiette verdure which is creamy without being heavy, and loaded with great pesto. The place can get busy at lunch because it is just down the block from the law courts, and lawyers tend to flood the place. This is a good place in a town that desperately needs one.

Really good espresso/cappuccino, very nice ice cream. We also went there for dinner and had different pasta, pizza and mussels; everything very delicious. I was quite surprised since I didn\t expect good food in an ice creme parlour. Only criticism: the main course arrived almost immediately after the starter so it got a bit messy on the table and we didn\t know what to eat first.
