I have read the reviews of this cafe. Some of them are not good. And so I went there expecting it may not turn out so good. It was excellent. Excellent service and my eggs bene was the best! I travel around the South Island (and North Island) quite a bit. I ALWAYS have eggs bene for breakfast. Well, what an experience. And a nice twist in terms of their interpretation of an eggs bene. Eggs were perfect. On a yum piece of chiabatta. Hollandaise was freshly made. There were a couple of hash browns, dob of chutney, tomato relish in a small dish, and some melon pieces. All in all EXCELLENT. As well as excellent service. Coffees were so good we had a second one. Sat outside - excellent outside area. Value for money - a very big - YES.

Good casual cafe. Four adults visited on Queen\s Birthday for lunch, plenty of parking & easy access for the disabled. Good selection of cabinet food as well as a menu & tailor your own burgers. The chicken filo was full of chicken with a fresh baby lettuce salad on the side; the beef stroganoff was tender with good flavour; the eggs on savoury toast were cooked exactly as requested; the chicken & peach salad was a good g/f option. Our coffees were faultless as was the service. Toilet facilities were clean. Overall we had a very good experience & will certainly return (ask for their 2nd visit coupon book!)
