South of India truly do the best and most authentic Indian in Christchurch! Very friendly atmosphere, favorite place to go for dinner.

This was our first visit in a while but we won\t wait so long till our next one. We went for a chicken overload for entree and main, and plain and sesame naan. As always the food was fabulous and the restaurant clean with friendly and fast service. The location (just across from the beach) is fantastic and you can have a stroll along the beach or pier after you\ve eaten. Also if you need to catch a bus, the bus stop is only a couple of minutes away. I\d recommend erring on the lighter side. Your spice preference as they are quite spicy, and also if you order an entree each you might want to share a main or there will be way too much food!
