I love this cultural oasis in Surf City! My grandson, a local art major, is a member of the Artists Council and frequently exhibits his work. The quality and variety of works is amazing and I have enjoyed every exhibit - from traditional California Impressionism to graffiti. THAT was an impressive show. Currently showing is Centered on the Center open to all contributors and it is an unjuried show. I have taken my 11 grandchildren (ages 25-13) many times and I always attend the Art for Lunch event, which is offered one Thursday from 11:30-1:30 during each exhibit. Often the artists attend and are able to speak about their work. No admission fee but donations accepted.
