A difficult place to find behind a locked door and a buzzer in Hanway Place a rather depressing alleyway just north of the eastern end of Oxford Street (the grotty half). After the door was automatically opened to me a young lady then had to climb from the main basement part of the gallery to unlock an inner blue door on the left hand side of a corridor. Inside a small ground floor space with a large circle of light projected onto the far wall. For this was part of an exhibition entitled Lighting light well by the Paris-based artist Michel Verjux. Below five or so drawings then another light projection on a fridge-like object. A room beyond housed books and catalogues. A different and unexpected world.
