The meadow has been inundated with people who don't care about Port Meadow, the environment or other people. If you want peace and tranquillity during lockdown, don't bother. I live next to the meadow, this beautiful place. Yesterday, hundreds and hundreds of cars from 7.30 am all the way to 11pm. Cars parked blocking Binsey lane for over a quarter of a mile. On Monday I walked on the meadow and found piles and piles of rubbish, bottles, bags, boxes, a bag full of vomit and a huge pile of human excrement with about 15 disgusting wet wipes. Hundreds of people in large groups not social distancing. Lots of drunk people on the Meadow in groups in the evening At the moment avoid the Meadow, there are other places to visit. Don't go if you're going to leave rubbish and be in a car. If you are local cycle or walk. It's a nightmare. A beautiful place ruined and under siege.
