The red poppy Art House is much more than a mere Art house. This review is to boast of its musical artists slated on most weekend nights. This past weekend, we attended a middle eastern Flamenco show. Well supported, the audience, well mannered, enthusiastic, a great diversity of both age and backgrounds made this tiny one room venue a great success. Everything one would expect of the Mission district. The location is easily reached by Bart 24th ST. Station. Funky, It's fun and unpretentious. A $10 to $12 donation at door and a hat passed around to supplement donations. The wooden chairs are hard on the bottom. The Love seats are the prize in this tiny room at a First come first serve basis. Just bring a small cushion and your comfort zone will amply be rewarded. One bathroom and a long line... So expect to share it with performers as well...
