luoyang trip! So...Here we go!



In past five days I had this very honor to attend trip to luoyang city in Henan province with couple of my friends.Luoyang city was an ancient capital of China, so had feeling that I'm walking in the footstep of powerful Emperors of Chinese empire! What an intensive Genius Loci I felt when I saw Longmen grottoes! The size of those carvings made me mute ... I was only able to stare at them and think about generations of artist who made those immerse and breathtaking statues! At that moment I just wanted to stay there alone , be enclosed with this faultless pieces of art and meditate about things of past, enjoy conterporaneousness and deliberate future....

Later, me and my friends moved around the city several times to visit highlights of the city... And here comes to a scene another spot I'd like to mention!

Absolutely galvanizing White Horse Temple!

For the first sight, this temple looks ordinary,just like many other in China and Asian countries. But my first impression couldn't be more wrong!





White Horse temple, as a local guide told us , is by tradition a first BUDDHIST TEMPLE IN WHOLE CHINA! In this temple first sutras were translated to Chinese language ! Those fact charmed me and I've realized I'm standing on the ground, where the beginning of Chinese civilization was set !

My soul was flying in the endless universe and I suddenly felt the touch of Buddha. Strange You might say, however I'm ready to take oath on it>so strong it was....

After visiting historical sites, friends and I decided to go see some of natural sceneries nearby the town. this decision brought us to Daimei Mountain, where we had a chance to stand on a glass gazebo , that offered us a incredible view on the mighty Yellow River! At this viewpoint, I had to admit that Yellow River is truly the Mother River of China! What a force and gorgeousness combined in one! This moment of me standing there will remain forever in my mind as one of the most beautiful and strongest memories of my life....

When we had finished hiking the mountain, another surprises was waiting for us back in the city.After a night in local hotel called Peony Plaza , we had a chance to attend local Peony Festival !

What an escalation of our luoyang experience!

We've been given ancient Chinese clothes to wear and Chinese friends taught us poems related to Luoyang city and Peonies~ symbol of this astonishing city.

After several rehearsals, we moved to Wu Zetian's palace. Here we've attended a show, playing a roles of ancient famous scholars and enjoyed dance show of Chinese performers, that has closed the whole trip .






